"STAR WARS BEACH"
12 NOON

Why Star Wars Beach?

One of our favorite parts of our trip to Alaska last summer was kayaking along the remote coves in Kachemak Bay and seeing all of the colorful starfish lining the rocks. Easton's sister, Marnie, was simultaneously on a nature excursion with Joe from Otter Cove Lodge where he took her to a location they call "Star Wars Beach" with rock caves, starfish, and a little beach that appears at low-tide just a short boat ride from the lodge. It was an easy decision that we would have a ceremony with the Starfish, allowing the tide chart to dictate the time and date of our wedding ceremony. Monday, July 21st at 12 noon will be the perfect time for us to have our ceremony on the beach with the lowest tide at the beginning of the week. The picture above shows the natural rock arch that will be the backdrop for our ceremony!

Dress Code:

Semi-formal / beach-formal. Men should wear a jacket, but ties are optional. Aim for vibrant colors, subtle floral prints, and sheer fabrics. This will be a very colorful summer wedding! Consider layers, as we will be taking boats to and from the ceremony location.
Our wedding colors are royal blue, and rainbow :)
Xtratuff boots are strongly encouraged for the beach ceremony!

Xtratuf Boots
Can be found on the Xtratuf website, Amazon, Ebay, and other retail websites if you are looking for a particular print or color.
Easton's Xtratufs are ankle height rainbow, and David's are ankle height marbled blue.
We will change back into comfy shoes at the lodge for the afternoon celebration

Our Officiants

Our ceremony will be officiated by our best friends, Tom and Sarah Gregory. Easton became friends with Tom and Sarah back in 2014, and once David arrived on the scene in 2021 the four of us (along with Tom and Sarah's kids, Olivia and Bella) started spending loads of time together making art, traveling, seeing live music, and hanging out together for extended periods of time listening to records, playing games, and exploring philosophy. We deeply admire Tom and Sarah's relationship and knew that they would be a necessary ingredient in our dream wedding day and celebrations to follow.
